Bottoms Up Planters are easy to use. To ready the planter for use, invert the pot. We provide a plug for the mouth of the planter to keep the soil contained in it. Fill the planter with potting soil. Place the bedding plant in the soil and add water. Let the planter sit on it's mouth for two weeks on the patio or deck in an out of the way place. In that time the roots grow into the new soil. After two weeks turn the planter over, remove the plug and hang it up. The plants naturally reach for the sun and will bend around the planter as they grow upward. The root ball will keep the soil in the pot. Any plant that naturally grows upright will work. Coleus, Impatiens, New Guinnea Impatiens and Begonias work very well. Some of these also will take full sun.
Please note that patterns and planter shapes will vary slightly as they are all one of a kind pieces.
